ABOUT US

This Archive has been created by Gusta the 15th November 2023.

He expressed himself about his experience with Planet's channel, and why he decided to created this archive :

'' I created the Archive back in November of 2023. I had always been a fan of Planet's content and ever since 2019, when his channel got wiped, I had always wanted to watch the videos again. As time          passed, I started getting less faithful on the possibility of someone else also being interested in Planet after all that time, so I realized that unless I took action and created an archive myself everyone in this small, uncoordinated community would probably lose all interest in this topic.

The reason I did this is mainly because Planet was my favorite YouTuber I've ever watched. When Agar.io blew up in 2015, I started watching gameplays of it, and that's when I found Planet's channel, and it stood out to me way more than any other channel at the time, like Jumbo, Sirius, and others. The reason for that is a mix of good gameplay and songs that personally really appealed to me at the time.

Finding out that Planet's channel got wiped was a shock. At the time I don't think I really understood what was going on, and it really confused me why I wasn't able to find his videos on YouTube again. I remember when someone claimed that they were the real Planet on a new YouTube channel, that gave me some hope back, but of course it had to be someone messing around. At that time it wasn't clear what was going to happen to Planet's channel and some videos were still being posted, so some hope was left.

After years had passed and nothing changed, I started realizing how much it seemed like the Agar.io community had forgotten about Planet. It was like his channel hadn't even really existed: no one ever brings up his name in the community, and I find that so weird cause he had a big channel that performed well. I started getting interested in his channel again, and after having the idea of getting his channel URL and pasting it on Wayback Machine, I realized there were at least a couple of things that could be retrieved from his channel, and that's when I created the Archive. He also expressed himself about Planet's channel and archive :

'' I was loving enjoying a lot Planet's content when he was active in 2015 - 2016, I was watching every videos multiple times as everyone could do with a cartoon as I had 9-10 years old at that time. I never stopped watching he's videos because I was and I still love the way he plays, the way he edit, he's song taste, etc etc... Sadly as everyone who was watching him, I had to stop when every of his videos got privated in 2019.

I didn't understood at first and just moved on when I did not find his channel. Then every 3-4 month I was remembering him and just wanted to see his content back, but wasn't able to find him sadly. One day I found his channel back in my youtube subscription because I was wondering why I was subscribed to '' Tech Insights HD '' and I immediatly see his 3 most famous videos and recognized him. I never tried to search for his videos that much, as I was only using youtube and I didn't know about Web Archive or other tools.

I was thinking I was the only one hoping for Planet's return, I had discover his videos was private and tried some things to watch them, sadly it never worked. Then one day by remembering Planet again I type his name on Youtube and see '' Agar Planet Archive '', I never seen it so I take a look, and clicked on random videos and yeah It was my first time being that much happy in front of a Youtube Video. I immediatly joined the Archive discord talked with Gusta and yeah I wasn't alone remembering Planet that was just awesome.

Then I started searching for videos, and found some, the feeling about finding a video especially when it's one you were having a preference is indescribable, imagine seeing back something you loved so much like a series or a movie and viewing it again after years of research this is just amazing.

Today I made this website I'm proud of, but nothing would have happened without Gusta, I'm really grateful for what he done. So thanks Gusta !

I know we will probably never see again a lot of videos of Agar Planet, but I still hope that one day we will be able to contact Planet or that the owner of his channel decide to set videos public again. ''
